The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Egypt has enjoyed a long-lasting partnership with Molenaar&Partners.
Since 2011, the M&P has been providing highly technical inputs in supporting WFP key projects in Egypt, particularly in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the subsidized Balady (common)bread, a staple food that the majority of Egyptians consume on a daily basis.
In close coordination with national counterparts, this work has resulted in outlining concrete steps and proposals for simplifying the system and reducing losses, recommendations which have been indeed embedded in the national plans and initiatives.
WFP Egypt cherishes this partnership with M&P and would like to build on this fruitful experience in the coming years as food security has become a priority in the national agenda.
